Lars Ulrich’s Sons Myles And Layne Compare Themselves To The Gallagher Brothers

Myles Ulrich and Layne Ulrich, sons of the Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, recently opened up about their brotherhood and revealed whether they get along.

During an interview with TotalRock, the two were asked about their relationship and whether they get along or have constant conflicts, similar to the long-standing feud between the Gallagher brothers of Oasis. Myles responded with the following:

“You know, it’s funny, I feel like people always think that we end up yelling at each other, but it’s actually like, I don’t know if I could do it with anybody else. We have a blast doing it together.”

Layne followed with:

“We really do, and it’s also just about having that borderline telepathic connection at this point, where it’s sort of like, we both just hit the right spots in the set, and the songwriting wise, we are able to just really jump to those moments with each other really quickly.”

It seems that the two brothers are incredibly alike, to the point where they unintentionally reflect each other. Myles said:

“We actually jinx each other all the time. I’ve been told we mirror each other’s movements on accident sometimes. We’re basically just the same person.”

Layne then topped it off with the following:

“And especially after being in a van for like six months now, we’re just spending so much time together. Just melting together.”

Upon forming their band Taipei Houston, the two brothers received words of pride, as well as many pieces of advice from their father.

In November 2022, the band released their debut album titled ‘Once Bit Never Bored’, which you can listen to here.
