Korn’s Brian ‘Head’ Welch appeared in a recent interview with Abel to Do Anything, where he explained the gap in their social media and why the band has been keeping a low profile. During his appearance, the host pointed out the gap in their YouTube content. Asked why there was such a big gap between the videos, the rocker clarified with the following:

“I think it’s just because we’re in this season of pulling back and going into because when you have a big cycle and when you tour the world sometimes markets twice, and you gotta give people a break, just kind of go away.”

Welch talked about the activeness of their social media accounts and continued:

“We’re still active on social media, on Facebook and Instagram, but YouTube, it’s just… There is no content there, so we’re just letting it live, letting it breathe, pulling back, and then we’re gonna go hard, I don’t know, maybe next year.”

He also explained why he plays metal, citing a quote from the Bible and stating:

“People ask me how can you play metal and be spiritual, and you follow Jesus and all that stuff. I totally get that, I was like, in the Bible it says, ‘give a shout to the Lord.’ What is metal is shouting.”

The Content of Korn’s YouTube Channel

Korn has been sharing different versions of their songs and behind-the-scenes videos since they started their YouTube channel. The last video they have published is now about their collaboration with Adidas. Before their announcement of the collaboration, Korn hadn’t published any videos in nine months. The band has been teasing the fans with their collaboration with the brand and has been actively sharing news about it on their social media accounts.

Although their YouTube channel does not have any videos in the last three weeks, the band has been using their own social media accounts regularly.

The Long Awaited Collaboration with Adidas

Korn’s 1996 track ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’ has been the influence for them to collaborate with the brand. Known for their early looks with dreadlocks and Adidas tracksuits, the two parties eventually listened to the fans’ words and worked together for a series of new pieces. The series is already sold out and is planned to be restocked in 2024.
