KISS’ Paul Stanley Shares The Upsetting Incident That Got Him Into Cooking

Don’t get sidetracked by rockers’ cool and tough personas on stage, as they are not that different from you or me. Considering KISS’ Paul Stanley, whose persona is extravagant and all that on stage, the singer has been through many hardships, including a divorce that made him a cook for his son.

“Cooking, for me, I started doing it 20-some-odd years ago when I was getting divorced,” Stanley shared with Ultimate Classic Rock about how he got into cooking. “It was important to me that my son Evan, at the time, knew everything was okay and that we would be fine. I started cooking. He needed breakfast; he needed dinner. That’s when I started.”

“I don’t consider myself a chef; I’m a cook, and there’s a big difference,” added the guitarist, revealing that he’s not a chef, even though he is pretty enthusiastic about cooking. Stanley also noted, “Most of my friends are chefs; I tell them I cook as well, as they probably play guitar.”

He continued, “Nonetheless, it doesn’t take a lot to combine flavors. You know you don’t have to start with something difficult. Good cooking; the thing that’s so great about Italian food is that it just respects the ingredients and lets them do the talking. That’s why I find myself doing pasta and pizzas, where it’s just a matter of combining great flavors. It’s hard to go wrong.”

If you are to look at Stanley’s social media posts, the guitarist consistently shares his dishes with his fans. Although he doesn’t consider himself a chef, the guitarist knows how to combine flavors and put a delicious meal on the table.
