Kirk Hammett Triggers New Wah-Wah Jokes About Himself With His Latest Post

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett shared a post on his official Instagram page while he was using the wah-wah pedal on stage which gave his fans the best opportunity to make brand new wah-wah jokes about him in the comments section and it is fair to say that this time, fans were extremely creative.

A wah-wah pedal or simply wah pedal is a type of electric guitar effects pedal that alters both the tone and the frequencies of the guitar signal in order to create a sound that mimics the human voice saying the onomatopoeic name ‘wah-wah.’

Jimi Hendrix was one of the first players to make the wah sound popular and inspired countless other guitar players with his playing style and tone especially in his legendary song ‘Voodoo Child.’ Kirk Hammett once revealed that he also was inspired by Jimi Hendrix when it comes to using the wah-wah pedal.

Kirk Hammett has used the wah-wah pedal so often that it’s almost become surprising when he doesn’t use it, in fact, Hammett was also one of the first to have multiple wireless wah pedals all over Metallica’s enormous stages so he could use the pedal whenever he wanted. He was also one of the first people to get a signature wah pedal from Dunlop.

Kirk Hammett is so linked to his wah-wah pedal that, once you search the two together, it is most likely that hundreds of memes about Hendrix’s wah-wah pedal usage pop up. Therefore, when recently Kirk Hammett shared a video of himself while using the wah pedal on his official Instagram page, fans poured hilarious comments under his post.
