Kid Rock has achieved a significant milestone in his career by securing his first-ever number one position on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart with his rendition of “Til’ You Can’t,” as reported by Billboard.

The achievement marks a notable crossover success for the artist. His version of the 2022 Cody Johnson hit made a strong debut across multiple charts.

“Kid Rock makes a multi-chart entrance as his rendition of the 2022 Cody Johnson hit ‘Til’ You Can’t’ debuts, most notably, at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs survey dated Feb. 21,” Billboard reported. “The track opens with 3.7 million official U.S. streams and 51,000 sold in the Feb. 6-12 tracking week, according to Luminate, while also launching atop the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart.”

This historic achievement represents more than just chart success. It marks a significant moment in Kid Rock’s nearly four-decade career in the music industry.

Blabbermouth reported that Kid Rock’s version features a newly written, faith-forward third verse that transforms the original country hit into a Christian anthem. The reimagined cover showcases the artist’s ability to adapt existing material while infusing it with personal spiritual themes.

The chart-topping debut follows Kid Rock’s headline performance during Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show” on February 8, where he premiered the added verse. American Songwriter noted that the performance featured his given name “Robert Ritchie” inlaid on the stage, creating significant conversation across both country and Christian music audiences.

The song’s remarkable performance extends beyond the Christian charts, demonstrating Kid Rock’s broad appeal across multiple genres. WLAV confirmed that the track also reached No. 9 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, No. 14 on Hot Country Songs, and No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first No. 1 on any U.S. chart.

Despite releasing his first album in 1990 and maintaining a presence in the music industry for nearly 40 years, this represents Kid Rock’s first chart-topping achievement on any Billboard chart. The success demonstrates how artists can find new audiences and achieve career milestones even decades into their careers. This is particularly true when exploring different musical territories and themes that resonate with diverse listener bases.
