Kevin Cronin has announced that Styx and he will tour together next summer for 40 concerts.
The Brotherhood of Rock tour will begin on May 28 in Greenville, SC, and wrap up on August 24 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tickets will be available starting December 13. Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder will appear on the tour as a special guest.
In the announcement post, the rocker also sent a message to his former bandmates. “I really appreciate your continued support through this tough, yet exciting transition. I am nowhere near quitting. I love singing my songs, and the songs of the late great Gary Richrath… which is what you can expect on the 2025 Brotherhood of Rock Tour,” he wrote.
Cronin teased his fans earlier with a Facebook comment about the announcement. “You heard right. I believe the official announcement from Live Nation will be coming on December 6. I am not free to call it REO Speedwagon, but let’s just say that if you liked what you heard and saw in Corbin, you will not be disappointed! Stay tuned,” he replied to a fan pointing out Cronin’s words about ‘seeing them next year.’
This will be Cronin’s first tour with Styx under his own name. The singer-songwriter revealed earlier this fall that he would retire from the REO Speedwagon brand by the end of 2024 due to ‘irreconcilable differences.’
In other news, REO Speedwagon’s next show is on December 8 in Rancho Mirage, California.
