Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, has opened up about her recent time away and shared a heartfelt letter to her son Sidney. The message comes after her ex-fiancé and Sidney’s father, Sid Wilson, was fired from Slipknot. Osbourne has publicly accused him of not providing child support.
In her post, Osbourne first reflected on the importance of stepping back from daily pressures and the sense of renewal a recent holiday had given her.
“I’m really learning how important it is to step away from the madness sometimes,” Kelly Osbourne said. “I get so wrapped up in life, work, people, plans… everything going on around me, that I genuinely forget I’m allowed to stop. To switch off. To breathe. To just be.”
“This holiday has reminded me that taking a break isn’t wasting time — sometimes it’s exactly what you need to come back to yourself,” she continued. “I honestly feel reborn. Lighter, calmer, happier… and very much NOT ready to go home. Note to self: do this more often. Life will still be there when you get back.”
Osbourne then turned her attention to her son, writing an extended, emotional tribute to him.
“There are loves you experience in life, and then there is the love you have for your child,” she said. “A love so deep it becomes part of your bones. My son, loving you has been the greatest privilege of my life. I love you in the quiet moments, in the laughter that made our stomachs hurt, in the kisses and cuddles, in the silliness, and in every ordinary little moment I never knew would become so precious.”
“You made my world bigger simply by being in it,” she continued. “You taught me a kind of love I didn’t know existed. True unconditional, instinctive, endless. The kind of love that asks for nothing and would give absolutely everything.”
She went on to describe how deeply she treasures her memories with her son.
“If I could gather every kiss, every laugh, every time I held you close and every time you reached for me, I would keep them somewhere untouched by time,” she said. “No photograph could ever hold the amount of love I have for you, but these come close to capturing what it feels like! You and me, completely wrapped up in each other. We are a team!”
Osbourne closed her message with a final, tender declaration of love for her son.
“I love being your safe place. I love being the arms you can fall into. I love making you laugh. I love your little hands on my face. I love us,” she said. “Out of all the things I have been in this lifetime, being your mum will forever be the most beautiful part of me. You gave me purpose. My beautiful boy. My heart outside my body. My greatest love. I love you from the moment I knew you were growing in my belly. I love you now. I will love you beyond every measure of time. Always.”
Osbourne’s words land against the backdrop of a turbulent stretch for Wilson, one that has played out publicly over the past several weeks. That backdrop adds weight to why she may be leaning so heavily on her son right now.
Wilson’s split from Slipknot became official in mid-August, nearly three decades after he joined the band in 1997. Slipknot confirmed the departure in a statement shared through their Knotfest Instagram account, writing, “Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
The firing did not come out of nowhere. Band members had reached a breaking point over Wilson’s behavior. He was notified in late July that he had been permanently let go.
The exit followed his split from Osbourne earlier this year. Wilson later appeared to confirm the finality of his Slipknot chapter by updating his Instagram bio to read “1997-2026,” a quiet but pointed acknowledgment that his nearly 30-year run with the band had ended.
Osbourne, for her part, has not stayed silent about the toll their split has taken on their co-parenting arrangement. In posts she later deleted, she accused Wilson of failing to take responsibility for their three-year-old son, writing pointedly, “Wake the f**k up, take some responsibility. I will not take your s**t anymore!” She has also spoken about wanting to focus on raising Sidney and healing from the fallout.
Against that backdrop, Osbourne’s latest message reads less like a routine social media post and more like a public reset. She stepped away to recharge and poured her heart into a letter for her son. In doing so, she appears to be drawing a clear line between the chaos surrounding Wilson’s professional and personal unraveling and the stability she is determined to build for Sidney.
