Breaking Benjamin guitarist Keith Wallen addressed fans’ concerns about the band’s upcoming album delay during a recent interview with Loudwire.

Wallen outlined the band’s careful approach to their new material. He emphasized their commitment to quality over rushing the release.

“It really comes down to — we’ve taken a while to make this music because we really want to make it right and we just love our fans,” Wallen said. “We really want them to love what we make and we don’t want to phone anything in.”

He commented on the extended timeline for the album’s completion. “Yes, it’s taking awhile, but sometimes you’ve got to wait for some good stuff.”

Wallen directly addressed fan concerns about his solo work’s impact on the band’s progress.

“I want to mention that in no way does my solo stuff interfere with Breaking Benjamin’s process,” he explained. “Sometimes I’ll put out a song and people are like, ‘You’re wasting time with this, we want Breaking Ben,’ which is so damn rude…but I get what they’re saying. But it has nothing to do with it.”

The band’s commitment to quality reflects their recent industry developments.

Reports from official sources revealed the band’s significant progress. Breaking Benjamin released their first new music in five years, “Awaken,” on October 16, 2024. The upcoming album signals a new chapter as the band transitions from Hollywood Records to BMG.

In a statement to 107.5 The Point, guitarist Jasen Rauch detailed the album’s evolution. Fans can expect a more advanced sound featuring intricate vocal arrangements. The new material will blend throwback elements with heavy moments. Lead vocalist Benjamin Burnley and Rauch are handling the writing and production duties.

The new release will mark the band’s first full-length album since “Ember” in 2018. Coverage from Blabbermouth highlighted “Ember’s” impressive performance. The album reached No. 3 on the US Billboard 200. It also claimed the top position on the US Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.

Breaking Benjamin maintains their active industry presence. The band launched a U.S. tour with Staind in April 2025. They continue to work on completing their seventh studio album.
