Justin Hawkins Says Red Hot Chili Peppers’ New Song Sounds ‘Less Edgy’

In a recent episode of the Justin Hawkins Rides Again series on Youtube, Justin Hawkins shared his thoughts about the new Red Hot Chili Peppers song ‘Tippa My Tongue’ on a recent episode of his Justin Hawkins Rides Again YouTube series and said that it doesn’t have the same energy as the previous works of the band.

After six years, RHCP made a comeback in April and released their latest album ‘Unlimited Love.’ They toured the UK and Europe in support of the album. The band also announced a second album since there were many songs they had recorded and wanted to release for their fans to enjoy.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ next album, ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen,’ will be released on October 14, 2022, and the lead single from the album, ‘Tippa My Tongue,’ was recently released along with a music video for fans’ entertainment. The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins commented on the band’s newly released song on his YouTube series’ recent episode.

Hawkins stated that the new song ‘Tippa My Tongue’ doesn’t have the same attitude as RHCP’s previous works. He found the new sound less edgy than everything they have released over the years. The musician said there was nothing wrong with the song, and the riff was great. However, he would have preferred a guitar solo, but he considered the track all right and thanked RHCP for the music.

Justin Hawkins’s thoughts about the new RHCP song:

“I feel like it doesn’t have the same attitude. I mean, maybe it’s not supposed to or it doesn’t need to. It seems a bit less edgy than it used to be, but it sounds live and accomplished; maybe it’ll be better if it’s live and entirely out of control. There’s nothing wrong with it; there’s nothing wrong with it, you know.

It’s good, no guitar solo, though. I was hoping for a guitar solo; maybe there will be a guitar solo on the next one. I like that riff; I like the riff; it’s all right. Nice one, Red Hot Chili Peppers, brilliant stuff; see you on the ice, and thanks for the music.”
