Neal Schon has been pretty busy with his ongoing legal dispute with Jonathan Cain. However, it seems he found spare time to attack Elon Musk, who also has a lot to deal with following his Twitter purchase. In his recent tweets, Schon blamed the Tesla CEO for making changes on Twitter which doesn’t allow him to give free videos or re-tag them.
Elon Musk’s controversial takeover of Twitter has ended up getting on many rockers’ nerves. Numerous names in the scene decided to protest his ‘hypocritical freedom of speech ideal’ by leaving the platform. Meanwhile, Journey’s Neal Schon discovered that Musk’s policies prevented him from promoting his free videos.
Schon wrote, “Everybody, please tune into my Facebook or Instagram as Elon has changed some things around here even though I don’t consider these vids completely commercially viable.” He then included a video he shared on Facebook, where he played some tunes for his fans.
“I believe Elon changed all Twitter settings so that I can not give free videos or re-tag them,” Neal Schon said in the following tweet. The musician posted the same video via this tweet, but it seems it wasn’t taken down from the platform.
So, the guitarist believes Elon Musk made changes in Twitter’s settings which don’t allow him to share free videos with his fans or re-tag them, although they are not of commercial value. His fans supported this decision and made sure they would stay tuned with Neal on Facebook and Instagram.
