Picture this, you are sitting at a bar, having a drink and chatting with your buddy, and suddenly they drop a bombshell on you. That’s kind of what happened when Muse’s Matt Bellamy recently revealed that his friend, Tom DeLonge, Blink-182 member and self-proclaimed alien enthusiast, had invited him on an alien hunting trip.
In a recent interview with NME, Bellamy shared some exciting details about his conversation with Tom DeLonge regarding his interest in aliens. He stated, “Yes. I’ve gone real deep on Tom DeLonge. I’ve hung out with him, and I’ve really pushed him.”
Bellamy also revealed that DeLonge has promised to take him to a warehouse in Vegas that apparently holds “weird alien sh*t.” Bellamy went on to say, “I’m holding him to it, and every time I see him, he says he ‘can’t do it this week, maybe next week.’”
DeLonge, known for his interest in UFOs and extraterrestrial life, has been vocal about his belief in the existence of aliens. He has even founded a company called To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, which aims to explore the “outer edges of science and the understanding of phenomena.”
On the other hand, Matt Bellamy has not been as vocal about his beliefs in UFOs and aliens. However, his band Muse has often incorporated themes of outer space and science fiction in their music, including their 2015 album ‘Drones.’
It is unclear if the alien hunting trip with Tom DeLonge will ever happen, but it certainly adds an interesting aspect to their friendship. Whether or not they actually find any evidence of extraterrestrial life remains to be seen, but it is clear that DeLonge’s passion for the topic has caught the attention of his fellow musician.
