Jonathan Davis revealed the one Korn song that was about what he dreamed of all the time at the age of 24: Sex.

In a new interview, the singer talked about the first time they recorded the song the band wrote about sexual intercourse, ‘All Day I Dream About Sex,’ which you might also know as ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’ The rocker recalled the song’s birth during the interview with Adidas and shared details about its early release:

“It was just a dumb song. It’s just like, it was nothing. I think I started with the riff, we were doing it… it was the second record and we wrote the song and I remember the acronym for it was ‘All Day I Dream About Sex.'”

Though Davis refers to the meaning ‘immature’ now, apparently, it was the ‘whole dream and everything’ for a 24-year-old rocker to have back then:

“It could be a million different things. They would say ‘sports,’ there’s all different ones. It’s very immature and juvenile. It’s representative of where we were at at that point in time. You’re 24 years old. That’s all you really think about, especially being in a rock band. That’s just the whole dream and everything. But it’s like, at that time that song was everything to me.”

An Unexpected Addition To A.D.I.D.A.S

Well, the interesting part of the song does not end only with the meaning behind it. One of the sound effects during the breakdown of the song was made unexpectedly. Davis explained:

“What’s fucked up about it, when I performed it, if you listen, my firstborn son Nathan was between my legs when I sang that song. Actually, in the breakdown, you can hear him coo-ing in the background. He was in the room.”

The Long Awaited Korn And Adidas Collaboration

Despite the meaning behind the abbreviation, the two parties have collaborated more than 25 years after the release of the song. Apparently, it was a dream come true for the band members.

In an earlier interview, Brian ‘Head’ Welch stated that the band consistently sported Adidas attire and attempted to establish a partnership with the brand in 1997, but faced rejection. After the rejection, the band decided to team up with Puma instead. The collaboration led some fans who worked with Adidas to pinch the idea once again, and this time, Adidas accepted.
