John Corabi Says Glenn Hughes Is Genuinely A ‘Freak’

Even though John Corabi and Glenn Hughes didn’t coincide within The Dead Daisies, it seems that they keep tabs on each other on social media. Corabi shared with 101 WRIF what he truly thought about Hughes’ voice; he said:

“I stay in touch with Jon Stevens via the internet. Actually, Glenn [Hughes] commented on the bike posted on it as well, so Glenn and I stay in touch with each other I have nothing but mad respect for both of those guys. But unfortunately, I was never able to see the band when they were singing. That guy is genuinely a freak, and the fact that he still sings the way he sings is just mind-boggling to me. I mean, it’s insane.”

This is not the first time John has made comments about Hughes. The rocker had previously texted Glenn after hearing about him testing positive for COVID-19 last summer. During an interview with Artists On Record, Corabi revealed what he texted Hughes:

“I just texted Glenn last night, and I saw on his page that Glenn and I are friends on Instagram and Doug. I saw Glenn’s thing that he said, ‘Oh, I have COVID, I’m going home,’ and Doug did a video that said, ‘Glenn’s got COVID, so he’s going home. They got the keyboard player from Whitesnake to fill in for him.

So, I just reached out to Glenn and said, ‘Hey buddy, hope you’re feeling better. Go home, get some rest, pour yourself a cup of earl grey tea, and get back out there.’ I’m sure the fans would love to see Glenn get out there and do his thing.”

Currently, John is gearing up for a run of U.S. tour dates with Winger and Tom Keifer for their ‘Live & Loud 2023 Tour,’ which will kick off June 15 in Atlanta and wrap up August 18 in Nashville.
