Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott recently shared a memory from the ongoing Stadium Tour on the band’s YouTube channel. As Elliot indicated in the video, someone underneath the stage sabotaged their live show during one of the concerts.

In 2019, the band informed its fans that they would hit the road with Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts for the Stadium Tour in the summer of 2020. However, things did not go as planned due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, and they had to schedule it because of the restrictions.

However, as Joe Elliot mentioned, the band used this challenging process to their advantage. They focused on their creative sides to introduce their audience to new materials. The twelfth studio album ‘Diamond Star Halos’ came out on May 2022, which was their first one in seven years.

When that day came, Def Leppard kicked off their highly anticipated Stadium Tour. They have been experiencing unforgettable moments with the fans singing their significant songs and having emotional moments. Although the concerts have preserved their excitement, the band members sometimes encounter difficulties.

Recently, Joe Elliot expressed his happiness about this massive tour, indicating that each night is fantastic. While mentioning how excellent the night before was, he revealed that someone sabotaged their performance. Elliot explained that someone under the stage unplugged his microphone while singing ‘Two Steps Behind,’ and he stood stunned as the audience could not hear his voice. He added that it was a great night overall, apart from this little negativity.

Joe Elliot explained the incident:

“Captain’s Log 14th of August 2022. I’ve been saying all tour that it’s really difficult to say something other than what I said the night before because it’s amazing. There was a mini-negative tonight. Some bastard unplugged my microphone before I finished ‘Two Steps Behind.’ So, I’m out there on my own, microphone, guitar, forty thousand people, no sound. Nothing was coming out of the mic. Somebody underneath the stage unplugged it. The minor setback for tonight’s show, but other than that, amazing.”
