A woman has come forward with allegations against 30 Seconds to Mars singer Jared Leto, sharing her account of inappropriate behavior that allegedly began when she was 17 years old, in a video posted on TikTok.
The woman detailed her experiences with the actor and musician, describing a pattern of behavior that allegedly escalated over time.
“So I first met him when I had just turned 17 and he was 33,” she said. “I met him after a 30 Seconds to Mars concert. He was immediately flirtatious. And I want to make it clear, I thought this was cool at the time.”
She described how the interactions allegedly became increasingly inappropriate.
“I would say by the second show, he had started to move from just like flirting to saying things of a more sexual nature,” she continued. “He literally started calling me Lolita, telling me he was old enough to be my father. He knew I was 17. And he would say things like, I’ll be your birthday present. I’m gonna punish you on your birthday.”
The woman alleged that Leto was aware of her age and was deliberately waiting.
“He checked my license. He knew when my birthday was,” she said. “He was waiting until I crossed that legal threshold. But he also did a lot of inappropriate things when I was 17.”
She detailed specific alleged incidents of physical contact.
“Did various things like kiss my neck, touch my chest, grab my ass, take my hand, put it on top of his pants,” she said. “One time I was backstage with him, grabbed my face, and made me promise that I wasn’t going to tell anyone.”
The woman described what allegedly happened after she turned 18.
“When I turned 18, very soon after we had sex for the first time, I was a virgin,” she said. “He knew this, which adds a whole other layer of weirdness. It would have been weird regardless, but he knew I was a virgin. He was 34.”
She concluded by acknowledging her own decisions while emphasizing the power imbalance.
“I know I made poor decisions. I was 17 though, I was 17/18 when this was happening and this was a grown man with a huge power imbalance,” she said. “I just want to thank the nine women who contributed to the recent article about him.”
This allegation comes after Leto previously faced accusations from nine other women regarding sexual assault, grooming, and sexual misconduct.
