Jane’s Addiction opening act Crawlers is struggling after the fight between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro.

“To be honest, it’s been rough for us this year,” Crawlers guitarist Amy Woodall shared with Guitar World. “But we’re very resilient. We’re using the time to prepare for our headline tour of the UK and get back into some songwriting. We are grateful for the time that’s been given to us.”

Woodall talked about the Jane’s shows, “We were playing to a different kind of audience than we’re used to. We learned to adapt our performance and setlist to make sure we were coming across to them.”

“We’d opened for Perry Farrell’s other band, Porno for Pyros, in Chicago a few years ago. When the chance to open for Jane’s came up we were super excited. They’re really great guys,” the rocker said when asked how Crawlers got the chance to open for Jane’s Addiction.

She added, “I had been looking at Dave Navarro’s rig in soundchecks but we didn’t get a chance to chat much. We want Dave to do a review of all our tattoos, too! Mine are small and I have like three, so it’s nothing like what he’s used to on ‘Ink Master.'”

On August 9, 2024, Jane’s Addiction reunited for a 23-date tour across the U.S. with Love and Rockets. Crawlers opened the shows. Before the tour was stopped on September 13, it had been a great year for Crawlers. After releasing their debut album, ‘The Mess We Seem to Make,’ they toured with Mother Mother.

But everything changed when Farrell attacked Navarro on stage. Jane’s Addiction canceled the rest of their reunion tour after this onstage fight.  “I would like to personally apologize to Love and Rockets [and] Crawlers and their crews for such a terrible outcome of what started off as an incredibly magical tour,” Navarro said on Instagram at the time.

After the incident, Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery apologized to fans and explained they had to cancel the rest of the U.S. tour due to Farrell’s ongoing mental health issues and behavior. Farrell later apologized for his actions.
