James Hetfield Announces New Live Concert To Support Little Kids Rock
The official Twitter page of Metallica shared a post announcing that frontman James Hetfield is going to perform at the 2021 Little Kids Rock virtual benefit concert on April 14 in order to raise donations for the foundation that supports the future generation of rock musicians.
Little Kids Rock, which is a foundation that was formed in 2002, has numerous programs that aim to give expanding music education to children in genres including rock, pop, Latin, and rap. The founder, David Wish was frustrated with the fact that there wasn’t enough music education in schools, therefore, started the whole project.
Since it’s first founded, the organization has reached more than 1,000,000 students with highly inclusive music education, currently, more than 500,000 kids participate in Little Kids Rock programs nationwide. These students represent the future of music since they all are young musicians who had an exclusive education on music thanks to the foundation.
Due to the fact that Little Kids Rock is a not-for-profit foundation, the students and teachers need donations, therefore, they are organizing a virtual benefit concert which is going to include famous actor, comedian, and musician Jack Black, Survivor Founder Jim Peterik, Public Enemy bassist Brian Hardgroove, and many more.
On top of those successful musicians, the legendary frontman James Hetfield is also going to be performing for this year’s Little Kids Rock virtual benefit concert as Metallica revealed via a recent post on its official Twitter page. Since Hetfield has been a huge supporter of the younger generation of musicians, it’s going to be a pleasure for his fans to see the virtual concert which is free and will be streamed on April 14.
Here is what the band announced:
