Hayley Williams Recalls The Day She Bonded With Billie Eilish

Hayley Williams seems quite pleased to have Billie Eilish in her life. Paramore’s singer recalled the day she bonded with Eilish upon seeing her for the first time and discussed the pair’s friendship during a recent conversation with Sirius XM’s Alt Nation.

“We’ve spoken throughout the years since she kind of came onto the scene,” Williams said, as she recalled seeing Billie for the first time in a music video. “The first thing I experienced or I witnessed of her was ‘When the Party’s Over,’ that video. And then I watched an interview with her, and I felt like there was something inside of me that was watching me, slash us, as teenagers doing interviews and navigating this world.”

The singer then shared that she was over at Billie’s house during Thanksgiving and spent the holiday with the young singer’s family and friends. Williams also made a note of the vegan cinnamon roll she enjoyed during dinner. Hayley said, “We had already connected; I had connected with her mom, too, just about the organization that they have. But ever since that Thanksgiving cinnamon roll treats, just, I mean… The rest is history. I feel like I would do anything for them.”

So, Hayley’s admiration for Eilish was there from the first moment she came across a video of her, and the frontwoman felt connected to Billie even before the duo met. Hayley has also supported the young artist’s career as she even took her Twitter account to comment on Billie’s then-newly released album. Earlier this year, the duo also had a chance to perform Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ and Billie’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ together at Coachella.
