In a recent interview, Gwen Stefani confirmed that she no longer remembers No Doubt lyrics.
During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stefani covered various subjects, touching upon her forthcoming performance with No Doubt and her recent collaborative single with her husband, Blake Shelton, titled ‘Purple Irises.’ When discussing reuniting on stage with her No Doubt bandmates, the singer expressed her excitement, stating:
“It’s going to be amazing. I’m so excited and I think what is going to be hilarious is I know what’s going to happen. I’m going to get on stage and look around and just start cracking up. It’s just going to be like riding a bike. We’re going to be like, ‘What are we doing? We’re in the future right now.'”
She seems to be excited to be back on stage, but she does not remember the lyrics to the songs. Stefani explained:
“I don’t remember them, no. Not at all. I think I’m going to have to learn like eight or nine.”
The News Of Reunion
Back in January, No Doubt members decided to reunite for a new show. The members shared the news on their social media accounts.
Shortly after their announcement, Coachella 2024 unveiled its lineup, featuring headliners Lana Del Rey, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat, along with the return of No Doubt and Sublime.
The band is scheduled to take the stage at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, marking their first performance at the venue in nine years. The festival will span two weekends, taking place on April 12-14 and April 19-21, although the specific dates for No Doubt’s performance are yet to be confirmed.
This marks the band’s third appearance at Coachella since 1986. After a hiatus around 2004, they briefly reunited in 2008 and 2012.
