Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash paid an emotional tribute to his late step daughter Lucy Bleu Knight on the anniversary of her passing. He shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to mark one year since her death.
Lucy Bleu Knight passed away on July 19, 2024. Slash shared a photo of her alongside a deeply personal message.
“Lucy Bleu Knight, I don’t think a minute goes by that I don’t think about you,” Slash said. “I’m in a perpetual state of missing you.”
The guitarist went on to reflect on the lasting presence her memory holds in his life.
“Incredibly your beautiful spirit & light still shine so brightly I feel like you’re always close by,” he continued. “Love you forever LBK.”
Lucy Bleu Knight was 25 years old at the time of her passing. She was the daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, and the sister of Scarlet Knight. Through Slash’s relationship with her mother, she also became a stepsister to London and Cash Hudson.
When her death was first announced, the family described her as having passed away peacefully in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that her cause of death was hydrogen sulphide toxicity, ruling it a suicide.
Slash, born Saul Hudson, rose to global fame as the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses. He has long been a devoted family figure, and his bond with Lucy Bleu Knight was a meaningful part of his personal life.
