Greta Van Fleet’s Josh Kiszka Explains If They Smoked Weed With Elon Musk While Working In The Studio

Greta Van Fleet lead vocalist Josh Kiszka opened up about the recording process of the band’s latest studio album, ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate’ during an appearance on Q104.3 New York, and apparently, the band members smoked weed with Elon Musk who also was recording his track, ‘Don’t Doubt ur Vibe’ in the same studio as well.

As many of you know, Greta Van Fleet released its second studio album, ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate on April 16, 2021. The album was featured in multiple ‘Most Anticipated Albums of 2021’ lists, including from Rolling Stone, Vulture, and Ultimate Classic Rock, ultimately, it received generally favorable reviews both from the band’s fans and music critics, having the album’s first single, ‘My Way, Soon’ topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

The album was recorded with famous musical producer Greg Kurstin at is his house in Silver Lake as well as in the Henson Studio on La Brea Avenue which resulted in the Greta Van Fleet members encountering countless other musicians during the recording sessions since the studio is a beaten track for a-list celebrities.

During a recent interview, bassist Sam Kiszka and singer Josh Kiszka were asked about the celebrity sightings at the studio and the first name that the two came up with was one of the most famous names in the world currently, the business magnate Elon Musk who was in the studio for his track, ‘Don’t Doubt ur Vibe.’

When asked if the band members spent some time together with Elon Musk, playing some songs together, or smoking weed with him while working in the same studio, Greta Van Fleet lead singer revealed that they actually smoked weed together while Musk was working on the mixing of his track.

Did you smoke weed with him and bring him in, play some tracks?”

“Yeah, well, he’s working on, or was working on electronic music.”
