Great White Confirms Mitch Malloy Will Be Replaced By Andrew Freeman

Great White’s vocalist Mitch Malloy left the band this year, and Great White recently announced that they hired Andrew Freeman to replace Malloy for the soon-to-come tour.

Mitch Malloy joined Great White in 2018, but he auditioned for Van Halen after Sammy Hagar’s departure. He had various ventures with music. The rocker released solo albums and made guest appearances all the time. His presence in the Great White started a few years ago, but he did not become a long-running member.

Recently, Great White announced that the band replaced Malloy with Andrew Freeman, a talented vocalist with a couple of ventures with various rock bands. They told the replacement on their Facebook account with lengthy explanations and comments from the band members.

The lead guitarist Mark Kendall stated that hiring Andrew opens a new chapter and thanked all fans that stood by them throughout the years. Freeman also commented on his arrival and showed his appreciation for Great White. He also stated that he is aware of its past and ‘brotherhood.’

The announcement of the band is as follows:

“Great White names Andrew Freeman as its new singer. Grammy-Nominated Rock Band Readies Robust Tour Schedule with New Frontman (Los Angeles, Calif.)

For a band to continue to thrive 40 years in the music business, the mantra must be that these songs are bigger than any one member. Grammy-nominated hard rock legends Great White are adding to that line with the saying: expect the unexpected. It’s rock and roll, baby. The peaks and the valleys haven’t stopped, nor has the music. Great White’s ride runs deep, and its passion for the music goes beyond any depth. Four decades in and Great White is pleased to announce that it has enlisted Andrew Freeman to take over vocal duties.”

They continued:

“‘Andrew brings another vocal perspective, a different grit in his delivery,’ lead guitarist Mark Kendall said. ‘We’re so proud of our past. We’re humbled that our fans have stood by us for all these years. Andrew being here now is the next chapter. We couldn’t be more excited for fans to hear him sing the hits and help us continue to forge ahead.’

That arsenal of songs includes the Grammy-nominated Best Hard Rock Performance hit, ‘Once Bitten, Twice Shy,’ Great White has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, has six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums, two platinum albums, and clocked the top of MTV four times.

‘I’m absolutely honored to contribute to the Great White legacy,’ Freeman, who previously toured as guitarist for The Offspring, sang lead for George Lynch’s Lynch Mob and is also the lead singer for Last In Line, a band made up of former Dio members. ‘I’m fully aware of the history of this band and its brotherhood. Let’s rock.'”

The band also announced their tour dates that began on June 4 and will continue until September 15. The fans are currently looking forward to this new lineup and seeing them all perform on stage together. They filled the comments section, expressing their excitement over the news.
