Graham Nash opened up to USA Today about the loss of David Crosby and his wish to apologize. Longtime bandmates Crosby and Nash were on the road to making amends after years of back and forth right until Crosby passed away.

He said:

“The universe is a cruel place for sure. It’s been a sad year for me so far. I lost a couple of dear friends, but with Crosby, I’m beginning to really make the choice of trying to remember the good stuff because the bad stuff is not worth it. I want to remember the good music we made we made. I see his face everywhere.”

After Crosby’s sudden passing due to Covid-19 complications, Nash could only be comforted that the two had been close to patching things up, as they even had a Facetime call on the day of David’s passing that never took place.

He even mentioned the confidential voicemail that he will always cherish stating:

“I was enjoying a performance David and I did on YouTube of ‘Guinnevere’ on the BBC in 1971. He did leave me a voicemail I’ll never erase, saying he wanted to talk. He wanted to apologize for shooting off his mouth about many things, including Neil Young and Daryl Hannah.”

Besides the two musicians reconnecting, David had also apologized to Neil Young. Crosby had caused a rift with Neil when he had labeled his girlfriend Daryl Hannah a ‘purely poisonous predator.’ Months after his words, he went onto the ‘Howard Stern Show’ and offered an apology to them both stating:

I was completely out of line. I have screwed up massively. Daryl Hannah never wound up in a Texas prison. I’m screwed up way worse than that girl. Where do I get off criticizing her? She’s making Neil happy. I love Neil, and I want him happy.”

Nash recently released ‘Now,’ his first studio album in seven years. You can listen to the album below.
