Kiss’ Gene Simmons revealed getting in touch with his former bandmate, Ace Frehley. As a matter of fact, he even helped him with his solo album.

In a new interview with Artists On Record, Simmons asked whether or not he would like to come back with his bandmates and make new music. He revealed:

“I’m open. You always have to have the right thing at the right place and the right time. We got the right musicians, we got the right guys. I like them, we like hanging out with each other, so that’s good. For instance, Ace, Paul and I had our differences through but what family doesn’t have problems?”

After revealing his answer about a reunion, Simmons reminisced about the time Frehley reached out to him to get help for his 2018 solo album, ‘Spaceman’:

“Even while we were having differences of opinion, Ace called and said, ‘Can you help me write a song or two?’ for his last solo record. I wasn’t doing anything [at that moment], I said, ‘Sure.’ So I drove out there, started off with the titles that I had and co-wrote two things that appeared in Ace’s last record. There’s plenty of time to do anything, but you’ve gotta make the time because other stuff just gets in there.”

Frehley’s New Album Will ‘Embarrass’ Simmons and Stanley

Despite getting in touch with Simmons for ‘Spaceman,’ it appears that he will not be getting in touch with Simmons or any other members of Kiss. The former Kiss rocker has been discussing a new album before the release of his latest record, ‘10,000 Volts,’ in several interviews. As it turns out, it was supposed to be an album that would ’embarrass’ his former bandmates. Frehley revealed in an interview on February 6:

“I made this statement before this record even started. I said, ‘This album’s gonna embarrass them,’ because they can’t do a record this good. I dare them to.”

In the same interview, Frehley also claimed that both Stanley and Simmons dragged Frehley’s name through the mud.
