Gem Archer recently commented on Oasis’ future plans in a statement shared on Guitar World. He addressed what comes next for the band while acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding their upcoming projects.

The guitarist expressed that the situation remains unclear even to the band members themselves, following their massive 2025 reunion tour. When asked about what’s next, Archer shared his thoughts candidly.

“It’s the weirdest thing. It’s all a blur,” Archer said. “We’ve all said that we won’t know what this was ’till next year. When all the wheels stop spinning, there’s just so much to take on board. It really was a bit of a whirlwind, you know?”

Archer suggested that while possibilities exist, nothing is certain at this stage. He noted that any future developments would likely be known internally before being announced publicly.

“Anything could happen, which could include nothing,” he continued. “But this was quite a thing. If stuff was happening, I think I might already know about it, if you know what I mean? It’s not something you just flick on. But Noel has said, ‘No rest for the immensely talented,’ so take that how you want.”

Archer’s comments arrive at a pivotal moment for the legendary British rock band. Oasis concluded their 41-date reunion tour on November 23, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil, according to American Songwriter. This marked the Gallagher brothers’ first tour together since 2009. The tour spanned five months and covered multiple continents, including the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Americas.

The reunion tour proved to be a commercial and critical triumph. Best Classic Bands reported that the tour generated nearly half a billion in revenue. It was described as one of the biggest reunion tours of all time. The band performed a consistent 23-song setlist of their greatest hits across all 41 shows, drawing massive crowds at iconic venues like Wembley Stadium in London and Heaton Park in Manchester.

Following the final show in São Paulo, Oasis announced a significant pause in their activities. The Independent documented the band’s Instagram statement: “And so it came to pass… the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten. There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”

No further 2025 or 2026 dates have been officially confirmed. Speculation persists among fans and industry observers about potential future announcements. Some have suggested the possibility of a 2026 reunion for the 30th anniversary of the band’s legendary Knebworth shows, but nothing has been formally announced by the band or their representatives.

Archer’s cryptic comments reflect the genuine uncertainty within the band about their next steps. The reunion tour has concluded, and the band is taking time to process the whirlwind experience. The focus now shifts to what 2026 and beyond might hold. Whether Oasis will return to the stage, record new material, or pursue other projects remains one of rock music’s biggest open questions heading into the new year.
