Kerry King is working on a new project, but it seems Gary Holt is not a part of it.
During a meet-and-greet right before the November 17 Exodus show in Florida, Holt answered a question about King’s new project and revealed why he was not joining him in the project.
Holt made it clear that he was unaware of the project and anything written:
“I’m not involved. I haven’t heard anything written. I haven’t heard anything recorded. I’m not part of it. I’m too busy.”
King’s New Project Will ‘Sound Like Slayer’

Around July last year, the rumors of Kerry King starting a new band were a matter of confusion among the fans. A few weeks after the circulations of the rumors, King confirmed them to reveal he would be forming a new band with the Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph.
The drummer, speaking about the new project, said that the songs will sound like Slayer without being Slayer but not intentionally.
So far, there is only one show announced, and it’s May 9, 2024, at the Welcome To Rockville festival at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The rest of the members will be announced soon.
