Fred Coury, drummer of the rock band Cinderella, recently addressed questions about a potential reunion. He shared an update on The Metal Voice.

When asked directly about Cinderella reunion prospects, Coury provided a definitive answer about the band’s plans for the coming year.

“There’s not. No, we were to do a big tour next summer, a huge tour. And it’s just not going to happen,” Coury said.

Coury explained that his schedule has become occupied with other commitments. He said, “I just started production on season 3 of The Arc. It’s a sci-fi show. It’s on sci-fi, and then it streams on Peacock. And then I have a few other big things that are happening that I can’t really talk about.”

The cancellation of the reunion tour reflects Coury’s deep involvement in multiple high-profile projects. These projects demand his attention and creative energy. His work extends far beyond drumming and showcases his versatility as a musician and composer in the entertainment industry.

Coury is the composer for the sci-fi TV series The Ark, which airs on SYFY, as noted by Full in Bloom. His work on the show extends beyond performance. He wrote the original theme music on piano, demonstrating his compositional talents. The soundtrack features 43 tracks from both seasons and was released by Lakeshore Records on October 10, 2025, showcasing the scope of his contribution to the series.

Beyond his television work, Coury continues to expand his professional portfolio through sonic branding for sports, as reported by Blabbermouth. He creates theme music and scoring for sports teams and related programming. This diversification of his creative output explains why a full-scale reunion tour would be logistically challenging at this time.

While a traditional Cinderella reunion remains unlikely, there is a glimmer of hope for fans. Coury and bassist Eric Brittingham have expressed openness to a one-off concert, according to Blabbermouth. They acknowledge the emotional challenges of performing without their late bandmates, guitarist Jeff LaBar and keyboardist Gary Corbett. This sentiment reflects the band’s respect for their fallen members and the difficulty of moving forward without them.

The news marks a significant shift from earlier plans. The band had previously been working toward a major tour for the following summer. However, Coury’s thriving career in composition and multimedia work demonstrates that his creative journey continues to evolve in meaningful directions.
