Cinderella drummer Fred Coury recently discussed the possibility of a band reunion. He expressed optimism about the members’ readiness to perform together again in an interview with Waste Some Time With Jason Green.

Coury addressed the band’s current musical activities and their potential to reunite if the opportunity arose.

“Well, we all still play our instruments. So, Tom [Keifer, Cinderella frontman] is out touring. Eric [Brittingham, Cinderella bassist] is doing a benefit — Rock For Hope, I believe it’s called — he’s doing that next week. I’m right now playing on Billy Morrison’s record. So we’re all pretty active in playing,” Coury said.

The drummer emphasized the band members’ continued musical proficiency and their ability to perform together.

“We have our chops up. So if something had to happen, if it was, like, ‘Oh my gosh. You guys can save the world. We need to have you play,’ there’s no reason we couldn’t,” he continued.

Coury also spoke about his ongoing relationship with his former bandmates.

“I just talked to Eric this afternoon. And I speak to Tom quite often. Yeah, we’re brothers. I mean, first of all, I owe everything to those guys,” he said.

Coury’s positive outlook on a potential reunion comes amid a complex history of band dynamics and previous statements about the group’s future.

Blabbermouth reported that both Coury and bassist Eric Brittingham have previously expressed openness to a one-off Cinderella reunion concert. This shared sentiment between the rhythm section members suggests that at least half of the classic lineup remains enthusiastic about the possibility of performing together again.

The band’s history has been marked by both tremendous success and internal challenges. Wikipedia documented that in 2017, frontman Tom Keifer stated that “issues between the band members are beyond repair.” This comment painted a rather bleak picture for any potential reunion at the time.

However, recent developments suggest the situation may be evolving. Blabbermouth revealed that Tom Keifer recently announced a solo U.S. tour for 2025. This demonstrates his continued commitment to performing and maintaining his musical presence. This ongoing activity could potentially create momentum for future collaborative projects.

Coury’s comments suggest that while no official reunion plans are currently in place, the band members remain on good terms and musically prepared for potential future collaborations. The combination of maintained friendships, continued musical activity, and previous expressions of openness from multiple band members creates a foundation upon which a reunion could potentially be built.
