Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie Says She Doesn’t Communicate With Stevie Nicks Very Much

Fleetwood Mac singer Christine McVie recently spoke to Rolling Stone about one of his bandmates. The musician admitted not communicating with Stevie Nicks frequently.

Throughout Fleetwood Mac’s music career, McVie and Nicks supported each other through hard times, and they had each other’s back as two female musicians in a male-dominated rock music scene. Even after McVie decided to part ways with the band in 1998, Nicks wanted her back.

In 2017, Fleetwood Mac planned to embark on a tour next year. However, Lindsey Buckingham left due to a disagreement about the schedule and filed a lawsuit against the group in October 2018. They then came to a settlement, and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell replaced him in the band.

In October 2018, Fleetwood Mac embarked on their 2018-19 An Evening With Fleetwood Mac tour and launched it at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 21, 2018, in Las Vegas. After the tour’s conclusion, the band didn’t release any new material, and fans began to speculate whether this tour was their farewell.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Christine McVie recalled when Fleetwood Mac was on their 2018-19 tour. She stated that Tom Petty and Mike Campbell were great musicians to work with, but she now hardly ever sees them. Moreover, McVie also revealed not communicating with Nicks very often since the band broke up. According to her, it’s impossible to say whether they would get back together at this point.

In the interview with Rolling Stone, Christine McVie said the following:

“Those guys were great. We have a great time with them, but we’ve broken up now, so I hardly ever see them. I don’t communicate with Stevie Nicks very much, either. When we were on the last tour, we did a lot. We always sat next to each other on the plane and got on well. But since the band broke up, I’ve not spoken to her at all.”

She then continued, revealing whether Fleetwood Mac no longer exists:

“Well, not as we know it. I don’t know. It’s impossible to say. We might get back together, but I couldn’t say for sure.”

In April, Christine McVie gave an interview to Classic Rock to reveal if Fleetwood Mac has plans to bid farewell to the music scene. She stated that none of the band members know about their future, but this is not necessarily the end of their time.
