Flea Says John Frusciante Is The Most Exciting Guitarist On Earth

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea recently posted a tweet to praise his bandmate John Frusciante‘s talents, claiming he is the most exciting electric guitarist worldwide.

John Frusciante worked with Red Hot Chili Peppers until 1992 when he abruptly left the band due to the pressure of fame. In 1998, Frusciante rejoined RHCP after Dave Navarro’s departure but decided to leave again in 2009 to focus on his solo career. However, fans knew that he would eventually return.

In 2019, Frusciante returned after ten years as Josh Klinghopper’s replacement. This news made RHCP’s fanbase pretty happy, and an announcement about a new record with Frusciante excited them even more. Released on April 1, 2022, their 12th album ‘Unlimited Love’ was well received by fans.

Apart from being a fan favorite, John Frusciante has had unmatched chemistry with his RHCP bandmates, especially with Flea. Frusciante and the bassist had a ritual called ‘face-offs’ before creating new music, and there was an effortless connection between them.

As a result, it’s not a surprise they shared a mutual appreciation for each other. After tweeting that Frusciante is the best guitarist he knew in November 2021, Flea again praised the guitarist’s talents in a recent tweet. According to the bassist, Frusciante is the most exciting electric guitarist in the world.

Flea’s tweet read:

“John Frusciante is the most exciting electric guitarist on the earth.”
