AC/DC is reportedly planning a European tour in 2024. This news came out unexpectedly at a Munich city council meeting when Mayor Dieter Reiter mentioned that the band is set to perform at Munich’s Olympic Stadium on June 12, next year. After breaking the news, Reiter commented:

“I didn’t know it was supposed to be a secret.”

The idea of AC/DC touring in 2024 started after their performance at California’s Power Trip Festival in early October, their first live show in seven years.

No official confirmation came from the band or its representatives regarding these rumors. But a trusted source for international concerts in Brazil, journalist José Norberto Flesch, posted on social media about AC/DC potentially playing at the Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro in September 2024.

The Band’s Drummer Is Hinting At A New Show

Phil Rudd also hinted at an upcoming live performance in a recent chat with New Zealand’s Stuff. The drummer, who didn’t join the others during the festival gig, told the magazine that he was looking ‘forward to playing with them again in the future.’

AC/DC’s Last Tour Faced Some Issues

Rudd didn’t appear with AC/DC on stage during their last tour in 2016. The band replaced him with Chris Slader and performed with a vocalist other than Brian Johnson for the first time since 1980 during the ‘Rock Or Bust World Tour.’

Johnson stepped away from the tour due to health concerns about potential hearing loss. While Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose replaced him for the last few dates of the trek back then, the frontman reunited with the band at the Power Trip Festival.
