Fear Factory has announced that it will release a new single, “Roboticist,” on Saturday, August 29. The release marks the band’s first with new singer Milo Silvestro. The news was shared on Instagram.
The announcement details the single’s release date alongside information about the band’s upcoming European tour.
“August 29th 2026, We Built Machines To Outlast The Flesh,” the announcement read. “Song / Video ‘Roboticist,’ Release Date & Tour 8/29/2026.”
The post also laid out the band’s touring plans for the remainder of the year.
“Cybernetic Domination Euro Tour 2026,” it continued. “AUGUST, SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER. Fear Factory w/ Crystal Lake, Hate & The Nocturnal Affair.”
Fans can expect “Roboticist” to arrive on August 29, alongside the kickoff of Fear Factory’s European tour dates.
The lineup changes behind “Roboticist” trace back several years. They mark a significant chapter in the band’s evolution.
Silvestro is not a new face within the Fear Factory camp. He joined the band’s touring lineup in 2023, stepping in after founding vocalist Burton C. Bell’s exit. Bell fronted Fear Factory for decades. He departed following a bitter falling out with the group ahead of the release of 2021’s “Aggression Continuum.” Drummer Pete Webber joined around the same time. Both musicians have now been part of Fear Factory’s touring lineup for nearly three and a half years, giving “Roboticist” the weight of a fully settled lineup rather than a fresh, untested pairing.
Silvestro’s approach to the frontman role has been notably meticulous. Rather than simply stepping into Bell’s shoes, the Italian singer treated the transition as a replication project. He went back to isolated stems to study every nuance of Bell’s original vocal delivery. That dedication has helped ease the band’s transition through a lineup change that could have otherwise proven divisive among longtime fans.
The Cybernetic Domination Euro Tour will kick off the same weekend as the single’s release. Fear Factory is set to play Poznan, Poland, on August 29, followed by Krakow on August 30 and Warsaw on August 31. From there, the trek continues across the continent through October, with stops including Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki, Turku, Stockholm and Copenhagen among the confirmed dates. Crystal Lake, Hate and The Nocturnal Affair will support throughout the run.
With both the new single and an extensive touring schedule now locked in, Fear Factory appears to be fully embracing its current lineup as it moves forward. Further details on the tour and single are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
