Elton Says ‘I Am Fan Of Steven Wilson’s Music’ And Explains What He Feels About Collaborating With Him


Elton John, one of the best-selling music artists of all time, shared a post on his official Instagram page reminding his collaboration with the former lead vocalist of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson on a track titled ‘Personal Shopper’ from his brand new album ‘The Future Bites’ in addition to praising Wilson.

As you may know, Steven Wilson recently released his sixth studio album, ‘The Future Bites’ a few days ago, on 29 January 2021. The album consists of 9 songs and generally received positive reviews from both critics and fans which makes it fair to say that ‘The Future Bites’ was commercially successful.

Prior to the release of the album, Steven Wilson released numerous singles and the first one was ‘Personal Shopper’ which was released on March 12, 2020. The song also features Elton John and the official audio video already has over 700k views on Wilson’s official Youtube channel.

Recently, Elton John shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing that he was quite excited when asked to collaborate with Steven Wilson on his track ‘Personal Shopper’ since John is a fan of Wilson’s music. The fans also must have loved the collaboration and the album since it, currently, is number two on the U.K. album chart.

Here is what John said:

“Being a fan of Steven Wilson’s music, I was thrilled to be asked to be on ‘Personal Shopper,’ a track from his new album ‘The Future Bites.’ It’s doing really well and has just landed at No. 2 in the U.K. album chart. Check it out!”
