Elton John, one of the best-selling music artists of all time, shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing that he’s in the recent episode of Demi Lovato’s documentary series, ‘Dancing with the Devil,’ and stated that he’s honored to be a part on her self-revealing documentary.

As many of you might know, ‘Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil’ is a documentary series about the life and career of pop star Demi Lovato, starting on her official YouTube channel on March 23, 2021. The series reveals a range of topics including Lovato’s near-fatal overdose in 2018, along with personal matters such as her experience on sexual abuse, fame at a young age, and addiction.
The recent episode named ‘rebirthing’ just released including numerous musicians such as famous singer Christina Aguilera, actor Will Ferrell, and legendary musician Elton John, all of which opened up about their opinions on Demi’s journey in music and personal life.
Recently, Elton John shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing not only he’s in the recent episode of ‘Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil’ but also he’s honored to be a part of this documentary since what Demi’s doing is incredibly brave and inspirational for so many people.
Here is what John said:

“For Demi Lovato to make this film about what she went through is so brave. Your courage will inspire countless others and I’m honored to be in your documentary Exx #DemiDWTD”

In the recent episode, Elton John revealed how he met Demi Lovato and stated that he loved her when the two first met. John also stressed the fact that being famous at a young age is extremely hard since people put you in a box and expect you to fit, expect you to be perfect, however, according to John, we are all humans including celebrities, and making mistakes is essential.

Here is what Elton John said:

“I first hear Demi Lovato’s music quite a while ago and I loved her voice. I asked her to come and duet me on ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ when I promoted it at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. That’s when I first met her, and I loved her so much. When you’re young and you’re famous, my God, it’s tough. You are put up on a pedestal and you’re not supposed to be a human. ‘Demi Lovato is God. She’s fantastic. She’s perfect.’ But of course, we’re not perfect. We’re all human beings. She’s human and she’s adorable and she’s brave.”

On top of opening up about Demi Lovato’s journey, Elton John also stressed the importance of seeking help when it comes to depression and addiction, revealing that he couldn’t ask for help when he was getting sober since he thought he would be capable of doing everything on his own. He has been sober for three decades now and wished the same for Demi Lovato herself since life without addiction brings the best for a person according to John.

Here is what he said:

“Isolation is the worst thing you can do. Ask for help. Asking for help was so hard for me because I thought I could do everything myself. The great thing about Demi is that she has opened up about her addictions and her problems, and the stress, and the pressure of fame at such an early age, and a lot of people are afraid to open up about it. I feel once you open up about it, you get the monkey off your back and you come out in the open. It doesn’t mean to say you’re cured, because you never will be. Addiction is a lifelong thing. But you can have the most fantastic life. I’ve been sober for 30 years. I’ve had the most incredible thing happen to me. And I’m hoping that she does too because she’s such a great girl.”
