In a new interview with AV Club, Duran Duran’s Roger Taylor discussed their new album and explained whether or not he left the door open for Andy Taylor. All the members of the band reunited for Duran Duran’s recently released studio album, ‘Danse Macabre.’

Did Taylor Leave the Doors Open For Andy?

Featuring Andy Taylor, Warren Cuccurullo, and Roger Taylor, the album marked the first album to feature the three together. Before their reunion, the rockers came back together for the first time in years after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

During the latest interview, the rocker clarified that the latest record is the first to feature all three members together and discussed whether or not he is leaving the doors open for the former members to come back to the band. He said:

“Absolutely, yeah. I think this album really opened lots of doors that will hopefully stay open, and we’ll be one big happy musical family that can continue to create together.”

Unfinished Bussiness

With the finished album, the unfinished records started to surface. In 2006, the band announced having finished a 15-track album called ‘Reportage,’ which was never released.

Taylor was asked about the unreleased album and whether or not the band would like to finish it someday. He replied:

“It’s definitely something that we feel we should go back and have a look at. And it’s certainly something that we were interested in doing, but everybody would have to be in agreement. Andy was a big part of that record. So we all have to agree, and once we’ve done that, maybe we can go back and move it forward again because as I recall, it was a really great record and it really had something.”

It seems that the band might go back and relive the moment. Taylor continued:

“Yeah, but again, it was very different from anything that we’ve recorded before. So it’d be really interesting to go back and have a look at it for sure.”

The latest album not only features new songs but also includes reworked older tracks and covers. Below, you can listen to the album.
