In a recent development, Sleep Token has entirely wiped their Instagram, leaving behind only a mysterious message in their bio: ‘Nothing lasts forever,’ causing a stir among fans and sparking theories about the band’s future.

Some worry this could mean the end of Sleep Token, while others speculate it might be a lead-up to a new project or album. The timing of this social media wipeout coincides with a disturbing incident involving the personal privacy of the band members.

Concern Over Leaked Personal Information

Fans have noted that the identity of one of Sleep Token’s members, known as III, was allegedly compromised when their birth certificate was reportedly leaked online. This breach of privacy has led to III deleting all their personal social media accounts, intensifying worries about the band’s future.

Speculations And Hope

The band’s followers have taken to various platforms to express their distress, theories, and frustration over the situation. While some are deeply unsettled, others believe this could be a strategic move related to new projects. One fan wrote on Reddit:

“People take things way too seriously. The band is a business. This is a marketing tactic. Everybody does this. Sleep Token is cryptic, but it’s part of the act, and it’s fun and great, but all this is for is to create manufactured hysteria. It will be fine, y’all.”

Despite the worrisome development, many fans speculate that this could be a precursor to a new album cycle or a fresh artistic era for Sleep Token. ‘Take Me Back to Eden’ was released just last year, making this a rather rapid transition if true. Another fan said the following again on Reddit:

“I think the press release for ‘TMBTE’ mentioned that the album is the end of a trilogy? So now, clearly, we’re in for something new. The new masks are probably a sneak peek of that. Let’s wait and see…”

A Trend Among Bands

Sleep Token is not the only band to have cleared their social media recently. Paramore and its lead singer, Hayley Williams, also wiped their social media pages and even shut down their website, leaving fans similarly confused. They were later back with the announcement of a Talking Heads tribute project.

As it stands, Sleep Token is scheduled to embark on an Australian tour in April, followed by a U.S. debut at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas. These upcoming shows give fans hope that the band will continue making music.
