Duff McKagan Recalls Paying Respect To Lemmy Kilmister By Showing Him His Super Hot Wife

During a recent interview with Loudersound, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan shared a memory about the late Lemmy Kilmister and revealed how he managed to amaze him by using his wife’s physical beauty.
Duff McKagan is widely known for his 12-year-tenure with Guns N’ Roses and he achieved worldwide fame in the ’80s and ’90s. He grew up in Seattle where he got introduced to punk which influenced his style as a musician. As the years passed and he started climbing the ladder of fame, he got the chance to meet with icons, such as Motörhead icon Lemmy Kilmister.
In his recent interview, Duff said that he grew up listening to hard rock bands, and although he had a lot of favorite bands, Motörhead had a very special place in his heart. Apparently, ‘Ace Of Spades‘ came out right when he needed it the most, and that album really helped McKagan and his band get a new perspective.
Thus, when the years passed and Duff McKagan got a chance to share the stage with Kilmister as they toured together, the duo got close. Duff really respected Lemmy and even saw him as a godfather. That’s why, when they went to an award show in London with his wife and she was wearing a very revealing dress, he took her to Lemmy so that he could see her body.
Here’s what McKagan said about their relationship with Lemmy during a recent interview:
“I was a Seattle punker, and we all listened to AC/DC and Cheap Trick and The Sweet and Montrose, anything that rocked we were down with. But when ‘Ace Of Spades‘ came out on seven inch it was like, ‘Holy fuck!’ It showed us that there was a whole new direction we could go in. I don’t know any rocker for whom this song didn’t change their trajectory and perspective. My band Loaded toured Europe with Motorhead and I got to play guitar on stage with them every night which was amazing.
Lemmy is God-like. I remember being at an awards show in London with my wife Susan, who’s super-hot, and she wore this dress that was super-revealing, to the point that she had to wear a coat over it. But Lemmy was there, and I was like, ‘Honey, we have to go and show Lemmy your dress.’ He was the only guy who got to see her in full, and you could see everything because you know, he’s Lemmy and you have to pay respects to the godfather.”
It seems like this gesture was done so as to prove to Lemmy that Duff really respects and loves him. This memory made Duff chuckle and it is clear that he still misses his mentor who really contributed to his music career.
