Dorothy joined Loudwire Nights to celebrate the release of her latest song, ‘Mud.’ The rocker will be releasing her new album ‘The Way’, and apparently, it’s in a genre she seems to have invented. Dorothy said of the album:

“If I had to make up a word, it’s something like heavy metal cowgirl.”

Dorothy also described ‘The Way’ as her heaviest album yet.

Dorothy Had An Awakening

In the same interview, Dorothy also revealed that her personal faith had an impact on the upcoming album. In her words, she had an awakening while writing the album:

“I had to have some sort of awakening. I’ve always had this deep yearning for the truth. I didn’t know what it was, but then I found the truth and I found the way and it all makes sense now. And more is constantly being revealed — life is like a classroom.”

The album was produced by Scott Stevens and is scheduled to drop this fall. An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet. Until then, you can hear her recent drop ‘Mud’ here and the interview down below.
