Don Henley Is One Of The Biggest Rock Legends Even Without The Eagles, Here’s Why

The Eagles drummer and co-lead vocalist Don Henley has a successful career with his band that spans over 25 years to this day despite a long term of a break-up, releasing the biggest chart hits, seven monumental albums, and being nominated to countless awards, Henley also has a solo career that can be compared to his time with the band.

As many of you know, the Eagles are one of the world’s best-selling bands, having sold more than 200 million records, including 100 million sold in the United States alone thanks to their hit songs such as ‘Desperado,’ ‘Take It Easy,’ and of course the record-breaking track, ‘Hotel California.’

Because of the band’s iconic songs, in addition to the studio albums such as, ‘Desperado,’ ‘One of These Nights, and ‘Hotel California,’ the Eagles achieved many accomplishments such as being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, being nominated for 18 Grammy Awards, which resulted in 6 wins, finding themselves a place on Rolling Stones 2004 list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and many more.

While Don Henley accomplished every single success with his band along the way, he also has a solo career that started following the first breakup of the Eagles. Henley’s solo career started off pretty strongly with his debut studio album, ‘I Can’t Stand Still’ which involved the single ‘Dirty Laundry,’ reaching number three on Billboard Hot 100 and was even nominated for a Grammy Award.

The following albums such as ‘Building the Perfect Beast’ and ‘The End of the Innocence’ were even more successful than the debut studio album, and he also won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for the song, ‘The Boys of Summer’ which proved Don Henley as a successful solo artist even outside of his band, the Eagles.

There’s another music platform that pretty much everybody uses to listen to their favorite artists that can be a determination in the comparison of success. That is Spotify on which the Eagles has 16,116, 788 listeners per month which is an impressive number while Don Henley himself 5,000,331 monthly listeners as a solo musician which is also a respectable number compared to the band that has been one of the great music acts of all time.
