Dino Cazares isn’t pleased with Kendrick Lamar’s Superbowl Halftime show, and he wants to see rock and metal bands next.

The Fear Factory guitarist took to X to share his thoughts on the performance. “When are they going to bring Rock/Metal to the Superbowl? Metallica, AC/DC etc,” he wrote.

He then clarified he likes Lamar, but added, “I’m not saying I don’t like Kendrick Lamar, I actually like him very much but I just feel his Half Time Show was boring. That’s why I suggested something more exciting like some Rock & Metal bands mix it up,it doesn’t have to be just commercial artists.”

Kendrick Lamar has won five Grammys this year — Best Music Video, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. After winning the Grammy for Record of the Year, he took the stage again at Crypto.com Arena on February 2 to accept Song of the Year for his hit ‘Not Like Us.’

Other than that, Cazares revealed in 2021 that Metallica influenced him and Fear Factory’s sound greatly, saying when he heard Metallica for the first time, he knew it was what he wanted to do.
