Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares has addressed his former bandmate’s new project name on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

“Fear Factory in German ‘Angstfabrik’ or Fear Factory in Spanish ‘Fabrica de Miedo.’ Which one do you like better?” Cazares posted on social media in 2020.

“I guess asking this backfired on me,” he recently commented about his previous post.

The statement followed an announcement from former Fear Factory bassist Christian Olde Wolbers. He had revealed ‘Angst Fabrik’ as the working title for his new band – a direct German translation of ‘Fear Factory.’

The name choice reflects the complex history between the former bandmates.

Loudwire reports that Cazares won a crucial legal battle over the Fear Factory name. The victory secured his rights to the band’s trademark. Former members Olde Wolbers and Burton C. Bell lost their claims in the process.

Olde Wolbers’ latest project has intensified the existing tension. The PRP reveals that Angst Fabrik is preparing their debut album for 2026.

The new project has attracted significant talent. Renowned drummer Adam Jarvis has joined the lineup. This addition demonstrates the project’s serious commitment to the metal scene.

The band name dispute has now evolved into creative territory. The former members continue their narrative through clever linguistic wordplay.
