Demi Lovato Says She Gave Up On Her ‘Dream Collaboration’ With Hayley Williams Of Paramore

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Demi Lovato talked about her dream to collaborate with Paramore‘s Hayley Williams.

Demi Lovato has genuinely shifted genres with her latest album ‘Holy Fvck,’ released on the 19th of August 2022. The 16-track album took the fans on a journey to Lovato’s debut album, ‘Don’t Forget,’ which had a similar pop-punk sound.

The album represents her journey over the past couple of years. Songs such as ‘Skin of My Teeth’ and ‘Substance’ reflect her struggles with drugs and alcohol. The singer has been very open about her near-fatal overdose experience in 2018. She even released a documentary on Youtube alongside her 2021 album ‘Dancing With the Devil,’ which had a more pop sound.

Lovato stated in her recent interview that she met her when she was 15 years old. Although she didn’t know Hayley Williams that well, Demi Lovato was influenced by what she had accomplished in the music industry. She explained that Williams had fantastic vocals, and collaborating with her was her dream. She candidly said that she ultimately gave up on her dream of a possible collaboration with Paramore’s Hayley Williams, but she will remain her dream collaborator.

Demi Lovato’s words on her dream collaboration with Hayley Williams:

“I’ve known Hayley; I think I met her when I was 15. I had a lot of people pulling for me that I didn’t necessarily talk to. She seems like the type of person pulling for me during those times. But yeah, I didn’t get to know her that well, but she’s one of my biggest influences.

Vocally, oh my God, she’s still my dream collaboration. It’s never happened, but she’s still my dream collaboration. To be honest, I gave up on that dream collaboration. So I didn’t say it for years, but that’s always been my dream collaboration.”
