Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently addressed his current approach to live performances in a response to a fan on X (formerly Twitter).
The exchange began when a fan questioned why Snider only performed a limited setlist at a recent show. The fan asked why only two of his songs and two covers were performed at Glam Slam in Big Flats, expressing disappointment at not hearing “THE PRICE.”
“I don’t do full shows anymore,” Snider responded. “People bring me in to close the show. But thanks for wanting more!”
This shift in Snider’s performance approach reflects a broader change in how the veteran rocker manages his touring schedule and stage presence.
Snider remains active on the concert circuit with select appearances despite scaling back to shorter performances. Songkick reported that the metal icon has several concerts scheduled for 2025-2026 across the United States. These focus on select appearances rather than extensive tours.
Recent performances demonstrate this new format in action. YouTube footage showed Snider performed with Lita Ford on February 22 at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tennessee. They played iconic songs like “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” as part of a closing set.
The singer’s upcoming schedule continues this pattern of strategic appearances. WDRV confirmed another notable performance is planned at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo on May 30, 2025, as part of an encore set with Lita Ford.
This touring strategy allows Snider to maintain his connection with fans while adapting to a more sustainable performance schedule. Live Nation indicated his current booking approach emphasizes quality over quantity. It focuses on memorable closing performances that showcase his most recognizable material.
