Dee Snider Says Writing Lyrics For A New Record Was Difficult With Having This State Of Sensitivity

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider took his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed that he actually had difficulties writing lyrics on his upcoming album.

As you might remember, Dee announced that he will release a new solo album in July 2021, ‘Leave A Scar,’ and it will be a follow-up album of his latest album named For The Love Of Metal.

One of the Twitter users criticized Dee for being right all the time, and Dee replied to this tweet to show how society changed and how it affected the songwriting process of the iconic singer.

In the tweet, Dee stated that he had difficult times while writing the lyrics because of the high state of sensitivity and mentioned that art also needs metaphors, but yet it will be offended by lots of people. Moreover, Dee touched upon the censorship problem.

Here is what Dee Snider said:

“I’ll have a lot more to say about this in the weeks and months to come. Writing lyrics for a new record was difficult (for lack of a better word) with having this state of sensitivity. Art needs metaphor yet metaphors offend. It’s too crazy… And it’s censorship.”
