Dee Snider Says Stephen King Is A Twisted Sister Fan And Reveals Some Facts About Him

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing a little-known fact about the ‘King of Horror,’ Stephen King when a fan reminded him that their name is mentioned in the popular novel ‘It,’ and apparently, King is a huge fan of Twisted Sister.
As many of you know, there aren’t many people who read books that don’t know who Stephen King is since he made himself a name as an author of horror, crime, and novels, selling more than 350 million copies, countless movie, and tv show adaptations, and endless awards such as Bram Stoker Awards, World Fantasy Awards, and British Fantasy Society Awards.
Despite publishing 62 novels, 200 short stories, and numerous book collections there are a few widely popular novels of Stephen King one of which is his 22nd book, ‘It’ which was published on September 15, 1986. Although the novel mostly drew attention thanks to Pennywise the Dancing Clown and his preferred prey of young children, a fan recently revealed a fun fact about the book as well.
Recently a fan shared a post on Twitter revealing that while Stephen King writing the iconic book, he decided to give his Twisted Sister admiration a special place by mentioning the band in the second chapter. Since it’s been a long time since the book came out, some fans who may have forgotten this fact were thrilled to see such an amazing occurrence.

“Dee Snider, reading #stephenking ‘It’ again for the 1st time since the ‘80s. I had forgotten that Twisted Sister was mentioned in the second chapter.”
After seeing his fans tweet, Dee Snider shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that the ‘King of Horror’ is actually a fan of Twisted Sister. As a matter of fact, his admiration contributed to the band’s success, especially when he purchased ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ along with buying a ticket to the ‘Stay Hungry’ tour which encouraged others to do the same.

“Stephen King is a fan. His Bangor station was the 1st top 40 station in the country to add Twisted Sister’s ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ because he ordered it. 🙂 The first show on our ‘Stay Hungry’ tour was in Bangor because he booked it! We were subsequently ‘Banned In Bangor!'”
