David Draiman’s criticism of Roger Waters doesn’t seem to end. After receiving backlash due to his attack against the Pink Floyd icon during his show in Israel, the Disturbed singer took to Twitter to respond to some of the comments.

One of the comments under a post reporting what he said at the concert stated:

“David Draiman’s net worth is $8 million. Roger Waters, a prominent musician and former member of Pink Floyd, has a net worth of $320 million.”

To which Draiman responded:

“And therefore what? He’s allowed to be a raging antisemite because he’s more successful than I am? Lol. This isn’t an argument about who’s more successful. There’s no contest there. But I’m a better human being than Roger Waters will ever be. In that, there is no contest.”

Another comment said:

“Reading the replies, it looks like I’m not alone. Nobody knows who this apartheid supporter is.”

The singer replied:

“You don’t have to. Who I am shouldn’t matter. This isn’t a popularity contest. I’m a Jew whose family barely survived the holocaust, whose family has lived in Israel since the early 1900s, who has over 2000 relatives still living there.”

In a subsequent tweet, David showed his support again for the Jewish community, writing:

“When someone has hatred running through their veins, it’s almost impossible to heal them. Most don’t want to know or care about the truth because that would dispel their sick fantasy that supports their twisted ideology.”

Recalling the vocalist’s words against Waters in his Tel Aviv gig, he had blasted the bassist, saying:

“F*ck Roger Waters and all his Nazi a**holes. Every last f*cking one of them. We don’t need that sh*t. We’ve survived worse than them, and we’ll continue serving worse than them. They can make up any lie they want; they can create any kind of bullsh*t story they want.”

He continued:

“We know the truth. History knows the truth. We’re not going any-f*cking-where. Besides, even though we’ve gone through some dark periods in our history, as is evidenced by what just happened on stage, sometimes darkness can show you the light.”

Draiman’s on-stage remarks came after his several other statements about Waters, where he previously called the bassist ‘pathetic and sad,’ ‘antisemitic and the defender of dictators,’ and ‘idiot and big mouth.’ Roger had stirred controversy due to his stage props in the Berlin concert.
