David Crosby Thinks Eric Clapton’s Live Show Decision Is Dumb

CSNY’s David Crosby has revealed his thoughts about Eric Clapton’s decision to cancel any shows where vaccine passports are required after he was asked by a fan on his Twitter account, saying that it is a dumb act.

It is known that after the pandemic outbreak and the development of coronavirus vaccinations, most of the governments want and encourage their residents to get vaccinated. In most of the countries around the world which support vaccinations, it is a must to be vaccinated to take part in several outdoor activities. So, if one wants to go to a gig, they need to be vaccinated as most of the bands also require vaccination for the fans to be able to watch them perform.

As a piece of news that surfaced recently, Eric Clapton is standing up against these measurements. As seen in a Rolling Stone article, stating that he won’t take place in venues that require proof of vaccination, he said that he is not going to perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Describing playing to vaccinated fans as playing to a discriminated group of people, Clapton stated that unless there is provision made for all fans to attend, he has the right to cancel the shows.

Clapton is reported to have said that:

“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021 I feel honor-bound to make an announcement of my own. I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present. Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.”

Upon seeing that, a fan asked David Crosby his thoughts on Twitter about the news considering Clapton’s decision. David Crosby responded to the question that he thinks what Clapton has done is ‘dumb.’ He then said he considers Clapton as a fine musician, singer, and a fine writer, but according to him he is a ‘bit dim in the bulb’ politically.

The fan asked Crosby that:

“Eric Clapton says he will cancel any show where vaccine passports are required. Would love your thoughts on this.”

David Crosby then gave a one-word response:

He then continued on the subject in another tweet, saying that:

“Eric is a fine musician and singer… fine writer… and in my opinion politically a bit dim in the bulb.
