The dynamics of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young have been complicated for years as each member has been pretty open forward with discussing their feud, and this fact sparks the rivalry even more. However, it seems that David Crosby still loves one particular former bandmate, as the singer disclosed while chatting with Songfacts.
There have been musical and personal differences between the former bandmates of CSNY, and the musicians’ stubborn natures make it challenging for them to deal with the feud. When asked, Crosby discussed his former band and their complicated dynamics but also disclosed the one bandmate he still admired.
“I don’t have a relationship with Neil or Graham at all,” told the rocker as he reflected on his current relationship with CSNY members. “I haven’t spoken to either one of them in two years. I still really love Stephen Stills. I just can’t help it. There’s something about his music, something about the way he plays, that just thrills me. It always has.”
However, even though he admired Stephen Stills, the singer mentioned how he still didn’t get along well with Graham Nash or Neil Young. David said, “But I don’t get along well with Neil or Graham, either one. So that’s that.”
The band has been on and off through the years, and it is no surprise that Crosby hasn’t been talking to Nash or Young. However, previously, Graham Nash stated that he had missed working and playing alongside David and appreciated their collaboration and time together. So, who knows, maybe one day, these stubborn old friends will make up and play together again, though it seems a bit unlikely.
