Elton John Bids Farewell To His Fans After His Final Live Performance In US

The icon, Sir Elton John, wrapped the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ for North America with the last of his three-show run at Dodgers Stadium last Sunday. He took to his official Instagram account to thank his fans for being a part of his journey in the industry and coming to see him for his last-ever show in the US.

“Last night, I played my 2001st and final US tour show ever,” wrote Rocket Man before thanking his fans for an amazing night to conclude his last show in the US. “I can’t thank each and every person who was a part of it, at Dodger Stadium and watching at home, enough for the most incredible night. I love you all, and you will forever be in my heart.”

One of the main reasons the last North American show at the Dodgers Stadium was an emotional one for Sir John is the fact that the stadium holds symbolic meaning for the legendary artist because it was right at that stadium in 1975 when John reached the pinnacle of his career. His dazzling baseball costume was also a tribute to the concert he gave at the same venue on October 25, 1975.

Dodgers Stadium was packed with over 50,000 fans who came to say goodbye to John, including his A-list friends who were there to support the legend. Although the ‘Tiny Dancer’ singer started the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ in 2018, the tour is scheduled to run until July 2023. However, Sir John is sadly retiring from the road tours after the farewell tour is over.
