Dan Reynolds Competes At A Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds recently shared a photo from his first Jiu-Jitsu tournament and expressed his feelings and thoughts about it on his official Instagram account. Also, the frontman reflected his gratefulness to his instructor and team for their support.

As you probably know, Dan Reynolds has been through hard times for the last couple of years due to his struggle with severe depression. Also, he revealed that he broke up with his wife, Aja Volkman, but later the couple decided to give their relationship another chance. Reynolds admitted that he needed help for his physical and psychological problems.

In addition, the frontman has been suffering from an inflammatory disease, ankylosing spondylitis, and he has been trying to get better with regular exercise and a healthy diet. Thus, physical activities are good for his body and mind during his battle with depression. The singer has a great interest in different sports, and one of them is Jiu-Jitsu.

In his recent Instagram post, Imagine Dragons lead singer revealed that he competed in his first Jiu-Jitsu tournament and defined it as an unforgettable experience. Reynolds highlighted that martial art brought him ‘joy and guidance,’ and his instructor Neale Hoerle, his team Edward Yang, and Brad Feinberg have contributed significantly to this process.

“Competed at my first Jiu-Jitsu tournament yesterday. It was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. Jiu-Jitsu has brought me immense joy and guidance.

I look forward to many more years of learning and growth. Thank you to my teacher Neale Hoerle so grateful for you. Shoutout to my team Edward Yang and Brad Feinberg.”
